Student Instructions - McGraw-Hill Connect

Please use the instructions below to guide you through accessing the Connect material.

If you are taking AP European History, AP Psychology, or AP US History, your textbook can be found on the side navigation of your course with the label “Textbook” and the book title. You can disregard the rest of these directions.

Accessing Connect for the First Time

  1. Log in to Springfield Public School’s Canvas.

  2. Go into your Connect-enabled course.

  3. Select the Connect - [XXXX] in the sidebar navigation. The XXXX will be your course type (Literature, History, etc.).
    NOTE: Your course may also say “McGraw Hill” on the side navigation.

  4. If this is your first time using Connect for this course, you will be prompted to enter an Access Code. This Access Code is provided by your instructor or HELP through a Canvas assignment.

  5. Locate your Access Code, then type it in the “Access Code” box and click Redeem.

  6. Choose Confirm from the confirmation screen.

  7. Your session will begin. Choose Go To Connect.

  8. To access your book content, choose the book from the Read section on the left. Use the following list to see which book is appropriate for your course:

    • AP (Advanced) Physics: College Physics

    • AP Psychology: The Science of Psychology, An Appreciative View, AP Edition

    • AP European History: The Modern World: A History of Modern Europe 1650-1950



  9. You may receive a pop-ups error. If so, choose to Allow pop-ups.



  10. Your book should now be loaded.


Navigating Your Connect Book

Using the features outlined below, you can navigate your textbook with ease!

  1. Book Menu: Used for moving between chapters

  2. Page Selectors: Used for moving between pages

  3. Narration: Used for narration of page content
